About Me
Nyah is a content creator with four years of professional experience in film production, having earned her B.A. in Cinematic Arts and Technology from Cal State Monterey Bay. Their primary interests lie in sound production and film/event marketing. Nyah has experience working with Sony, Canon, and Black Magic cameras. She owns her own phantom power boom pole set with a Zoom H6 for sound recording. Nyah is proficient in Adobe Cloud (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom, and somewhat in After Effects), but has recently switched to using DaVinci Resolve and CapCut for simpler video marketing tasks. She is also comfortable working with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
Nyah is based in Oakland, California, and is eager to connect with more black & POC queer creatives in the area. Representation is crucial to them and it's what inspired her to start filming in the first place, so she hopes to build a community to further enhance her creativity and produce work that reflects the diverse perspectives and experiences of the community.

Young Community Developers - Oct 2022 - Current
Record and photograph in-person training sessions, mixers, and mastermind sessions to create a library of digital content. Plan, implement, manage, and monitor the Level Up Program’s social media strategy to increase awareness, improve marketing efforts, and increase customer and partner social media engagement. Be in charge of the social media, making daily reels to promote the program.

My main responsibility is to capture clear sound during each take when filming. as 2nd Camera, I was needed to take filler shots of what 1st Camera doesn’t capture. As PA, I helped assist the participants, set up and break down furniture and equipment, and made sure all of production had the Covid test.

Producer
As producer, I was the person responsible for finding and launching a project; arranging financing financing; hiring writers, a director, and key members of the creative team; and overseeing all elements of pre-production, production and post-production, right up to release.
I was the person who determines the creative vision of a feature film, television show, play, short film, or other production. I was more than happy that I had complete artistic control of a project.
Editor: As editor, I managed material such as camera footage, dialogue, sound effects, graphics, and special effects to produce a final film or video product.
